User Research

Commenced with desk research to see what was already in market and also to gather an understanding of what crystal users do and feel…putting myself into their shoes. This also allowed to prepare for better for interviews, to understand terminology that may be used.
We also explored netnography and demographics to dig deeper into the users pains.

Interviews were conducted with users and store owners selling crystals to gain value from what they notice from the customers or even common questions they face.

With the findings this allowed to define our answer with creating a persona and further analysis compiling an empathy map and value proposition canvas.

Design

Amongst the group we each shared our style tile and initial concept sketches.
Collating all ideations and style tiles that allowed for further development of sketches, followed by user flows and into low-fidelity prototyping to secure concept before we introduced the use of colour and typography.

It was essential we included sufficient bite-sized onboarding due the technicality around this area of interest and really provide new users to grasp the value and potential of the application.

Testing and analysis

We tested our concept with using a heuristic analysis to establish areas for improvement and development.

Overall we have created a hub of crystal healing, allowing users of all levels of knowledge to gain the value with having centralised, as the large cross over with crystals, chakras and zodiac signs.

Have you found your crystal?
